Haburchak joins WSJ as editorial director, audio

Alan Haburchak

Alan Haburchak has joined The Wall Street Journal’s podcasts team as an editorial director of audio.

Previously, Haburchak was a senior producer at Insider, where he helped lead a team of producers who created and published the daily tech/biz news-focused show The Refresh.

He was a senior producer at The Economist, where he collaborated with business and finance journalists on Money Talks, a weekly podcast from The Economist covering markets, the economy, and the world of business.

He also worked at Morning Brew, BuzzFeed, Mic, The New York Times and Mashable.

Haburchak has a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder and a M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He is a professor of the audio podcast fellows program at Stony Brook University.
