Wilkinson joins Skift as deputy ME

Travel industry site Skift has hired Sophie Wilkinson as deputy managing editor.

She is based in London.

Wilkinson has been a freelance journalist, which work for The BBC, Channel 4, The Evening Standard, The Guardian, The Independent, The i Newspaper, The Mirror, The Observer, The Telegraph, The Times, The Sunday Times, ELLE, Glamour, Grazia, Stylist, Time Out, Women’s Health, i-D, Vogue, Refinery29 and VICE.

She also was acting editorial lead for Woo, a gen Z wellness and lifestyle site from ITV.

Wilkinson holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Exeter and a master’s degree from City St. Georges, University of London.

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
