FT taps Edgecliffe-Johnson as US news editor

The Financial Times U.S. business editor Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson has been named U.S. news editor of the publication.

He replaces David Crow, who left to become executive editor of The Wall Street Journal.

He has been in he business editor role for five years, leading the reporting and analysis of how American companies are responding to the challenges of competition, rapid technological change, shifting corporate governance standards,

In his more than 20 years at the FT, Edgecliffe-Johnson has served as FT’s deputy news editor, global media editor, covered mergers and acquisitions, overseen management features and written for the influential Lex column.
