
Colin Barr, a deputy finance editor at The Wall Street Journal, was among the layoffs at the publication this week.
He has worked at The Journal since 2011. He previously served as markets editor and banking editor.
Before joining The Journal, Barr worked as a writer at Fortune and as an editor at TheStreet.com and Dow Jones Newswires. He is the winner of a Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing award for a weekly column at TheStreet, “The Five Dumbest Things on Wall Street This Week.”
Barr is a graduate of Penn State University.
