States Newsroom and Stateline News have hired Shalina Chatlani to cover the business of health care and environmental health.
Chatlani has spent the last year in a New York Times Local Investigations Fellowship.
Before that, she was a health care reporter for the Gulf States Newsroom, a regional journalism collaboration between NPR stations in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. She also worked as a science and tech reporter for KBPS in San Diego.
Chatlani holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Georgetown University.
