
Nora Naughton, the senior autos reporter for Business Insider, is leaving for a communications role with the Michigan Sierra Club.
“When I started covering European auto sales for a little blog in 2012, I had no idea I would go on to land dream job after dream job,” she wrote on Twitter. “I have had an incredible run these past 13 years and I’m ready for the next adventure.”
Naughton previously was with The Wall Street Journal covering Fiat Chrysler, the auto unions and auto retailers.
She previously was a Detroit News auto reporter. Naughton was previously a business development reporter at The Stamford (Conn.) Advocate. Naughton also covered City Hall for the Stamford paper, which she joined in May 2016.
Before that, Naughton worked as a freelance reporter for Automotive News, where she interned for two summers as well.
She’s a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where she was editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Eastern Echo.
