Mia de Graaf has been promoted to executive editor on the Life team at Business Insider.
In the past year, she led the extraordinary young cancer coverage, which started in the Life team and, under her leadership, expanded to include the Econ team, Discourse and Video.
In the executive editor role, de Graaf will continue to lead the Health team and also work across Life and the newsroom to have a greater hand in shaping distinguishing coverage.
She has worked at Business Insider for six years, joining as health editor in January 2020. Previously, she reported for The Guardian, The Economist, The Daily Mail, and Huffington Post, among others.
