Forbes is partnering with the Journalism Program in the Cathy Hughes School of Communications at Howard University to create a direct pathway for one Howard journalism student to join the Forbes newsroom each year, reports Ali Jackson-Jolley of Forbes.
Jackson-Jolley writes, “The selected student will work alongside reporters and editors covering business, wealth and leadership—and will become the 16th HBCU Scholar to join the newsroom since the program launched five years ago.
“‘Our partnership with Howard University builds on the work we began with the HBCU Scholars program—opening doors for talented reporters and helping ensure the next generation covering the economy reflects the breadth of perspectives shaping it.’
“The partnership also reflects Howard’s focus on preparing students to report across industries, including business and financial journalism.”
