Joseph Zeballos-Roig, a policy reporter covering taxes, inequality and federal spending at Business Insider, has left. Zeballos-Roig’s tweet reads:
“It’s been a great run. And I’m grateful for the opportunities and colleagues I had the pleasure to work with for the past 3 years, especially on the Economy team. I’ll share more about what’s next for me soon!”
He joined in 2019 as a policy reporting fellow. He worked freelance for The New Republic and Bedford + Bowery, a New York Magazine site. Zeballos-Roig interned at WNYC Radio’s “The Takeaway” and CBS News’ “60 Minutes.”
He was also one of 26 college journalists selected from across the nation to be part of The New York Times Student Journalism Institute.
Zeballos-Roig has a B.S. from Florida State University and a M.A. from New York University.
