Angel Coker, the managing editor of the Birmingham Business Journal, is leaving the publication to join business-to-business publisher Randall-Reilly.
She will be a senior editor covering technology and will start Jan. 31.
“I have enjoyed serving the Birmingham business community during my past four and a half years at the Birmingham Business Journal,” said Coker in an email. “But you must take opportunities as they come, and I’m excited to meet new people and learn new skills in my future role at Randall-Reilly.”
Before becoming managing editor in July 2021, Coker covered banking and finance, legal and transportation for the Business Journal. She previously worked at the Commercial Dispatch in Columbus, Mississippi and the Tuscaloosa News.
Coker is a University of Alabama graduate.
