Timour Azhari has moved to Riyadh to cover Saudi Arabia for Reuters.
He previously has been Iraq bureau chief.
Azhari also served as deputy bureau chief for Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. In this role, he covered political, economic and security developments in these areas.
Previously, Azhari was a correspondent at Thomson Reuters Foundation, where he covered Lebanon, focused on accountability and human rights issues, inclusive economies and climate change. He also contributed to and then served as Beirut correspondent at Al Jazeera.
Azhari graduated from American University of Beirut.
