The Washington Post has named Ashlyn Still deputy director of elections. In her new role, she will work with elections director Rachel Van Dongen.
The Post reports:
“This move expands upon the work Ashlyn has been doing in her previous role as projects editor for elections in Graphics, coordinating efforts among engineering, product and the newsroom to build and support The Post’s live results experience. She will build on this partnership in her new position by taking the lead in coordinating visual storytelling and data integration, including how we use our elections model in our campaign coverage.”
Still joined the Post in August 2019 as a graphics reporter for elections and was formerly a data visualization developer at Reuters.
She was a news application specialist at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where she also interned.
Still has a B.A. in multimedia journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Be sure to congratulate Still on Twitter.
