Kieran Leavitt, a reporter covering politics and national news for The Toronto Star, is set to depart after more than five years. He wrote on X/Twitter:
“I’m leaving the Toronto Star. What an incredible ride it’s been. Thx to all who followed along, and to my great colleagues. I wish the paper all the success. That said, I’m staying in journalism in Edmonton. More on that soon :)”
Previously, Leavitt freelanced for various outlets, including Metro Halifax and The Canadian Press, where he also interned.
Leavitt has a B.A. from Dalhousie University in Canada.
