Ben Schultz has joined The Independent as a sports reporter. He wrote on X/Twitter:

Previously, Schultz was a sports reporter and assistant sports editor at the Marquette Wire, Marquette University’s media news source. He also interned at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
There, he wrote stories assigned by editors with the majority being news and then he also covered sports.
Schultz has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
