The Guardian has appointed Ashley Kirk to the post of visuals editor. The appointment comes with the formation of a team that unites the visuals and data desks.
Recently, Kirk served as a visuals projects editor. He is also a visiting lecturer at City, University of London.
He worked as a data journalist and senior data journalist for special projects at The Telegraph. He was an online reporter at City A.M. and freelanced for The Guardian from June 2013 to April 2015.
Kirk has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Birmingham and a master’s degree from City, University of London.
