The Athletic has promoted Marc Craig to senior managing editor for its MLB vertical. He wrote on X/Twitter:

Craig joined The Athletic in January 2018 as a New York Yankees beat writer. Since then, he has served as a senior writer for Major League Baseball, deputy managing editor for talent development and deputy managing editor for the MLB vertical.
He served as a Mets beat writer at Newsday Media Group, where he worked for more than five years, and as a Yankees beat writer at The Star-Ledger.
He also held the posts of Maryland beat writer and Baltimore Orioles beat writer at The Washington Post.
Craig has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno.
