The Santa Clarita Gazette in California will tentatively be ceasing publication until September. The move comes as the newspaper is struggling with advertising revenue problems even before the pandemic began.
The July 3 issue will be the last before publication stops temporarily.
The publishers write,
“We appreciate the many people who responded and financially helped us print every week since mid April, it was a heartwarming blessing and makes the end even more bittersweet. Publishing this newspaper has truly been a labor of love, but retirement calls.”
