San Antonio Express-News reporter Caruba departs

Lauren Caruba

Lauren Caruba, health and medical reporter at the San Antonio Express-News, has left after more than 5 years. She previously served as an education reporter covering K-12 and higher education.

She was an investigative fellow at the Houston Chronicle and has interned at Northwestern Magazine, Northwestern University’s quarterly alumni magazine, Texas Monthly and Medill Watchdog. She was also a health and science reporter at Medill News Service.

Caruba has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Northwestern University.
