The Independent appoints Richards senior commissioning editor

Victoria Richards

The Independent has promoted Victoria Richards to the post of senior commissioning editor, Voices. She has previously worked freelance for outlets including the BBC, the FT, The Independent, The Times, and The Sunday Times.

She has also appeared on Newsnight, Radio 4, BBC World, Channel 5 News, and ITV News. She previously also worked as a homepage editor, deputy news editor and app editor, online at The Independent. She was also a broadcast journalist at BBC News and an online writer at The Times.

She has also written for Bauer Media and reported for Express Newspapers.

Richards graduated from Birkbeck, University of London.
