Avery Wilks, a chief investigative reporter at The Post and Courier, has left. His tweet reads:
“This is my last week at @postandcourier. It is also my last in the news business. I’ve so enjoyed my 7.5 years as a news reporter, and I’m so proud of what we were able to accomplish during my time with the @postandcourier and @thestate.”
Previously, Wilks was an investigative reporter at The Post and Courier.
He worked as a general assignment reporter, State House, politics, and higher education reporter and senior State House and politics reporter at The State Newspaper.
Wilks has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina.
