Denise Fuhs has rejoined The New York Times as a senior staff writer on the print hub. Her most recent post was that of local news editor/managing editor at The Press of Atlantic City from February 2020 to November 2022.
Previously, Fuhs worked at the Times from January 2000 to November 2017. During this time, she served as news design editor, assistant to the Metro editor/backfield editor, assistant news editor, editor of news design and print hub chief.
She was also part of the team that won a Pulitzer Prize in Public Service for “A Nation Challenged” and has won Society for News Design Awards for her work on coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Fuhs graduated from Rider University in New Jersey.
