Sarah Weinman will be the new crime columnist for The New York Times Book Review as editor and deputy editor of the Book Review Marilyn Stasio is retiring after 33 years.
However, Stasio will continue to contribute reviews to The Times on crime, true crime and other related subjects.
Apart from the Times, Weinman has worked for various publications, including Vanity Fair, The Washington Post, New York magazine and The Wall Street Journal, among others. She also writes the “Crime Lady” newsletter, covering crime fiction, true crime and all points in between.
Weinman is also the author of “The Real Lolita: A Lost Girl, An Unthinkable Crime, and a Scandalous Masterpiece,” and the editor of various anthologies. She is also a National Magazine Award finalist for Reporting.
