MSNBC has tapped Alexandra Hazlett to serve as director of platforms. In her new role, she will manage the team responsible for the distribution of the network’s content on owned and social platforms.
Recently, Hazlett freelanced for The Cut, Mashable, NBC News Digital and Chalkbeat.
She worked at Mashable for more than six years, holding various posts, including weekend editor, deputy managing editor for New York and director of special projects. She was an online news editor at the New York Daily News.
She also reported for The Dayton Daily News’ business desk.
Hazlett graduated from Ohio University.
