Melissa Denes will be joining The New Statesman as a features editor in June.
She comes from Guardian News and Media where she recently held the post of editor, Guardian Weekend magazine. Denes has been with the company for more than 19 years and has held various roles, including assistant editor – Guardian Weekend magazine, and arts editor.
She has also served as launch editor of Feast magazine. Prior to joining The Guardian, Denes was a features editor at the Sunday Telegraph magazine, at Telegraph Media Group Limited.
Denes is a B.A. in English language and literature/letters from the University of Oxford.
