Nisha Chittal, managing editor at Vox.com, has been appointed chief of staff. In her new role, she will “help run the operations of the full, unified newsrooms, oversee our long-term editorial planning, as well as manage our Network Development team.”
Chittal has been with Vox for six years, previously holding the posts of engagement editor for Racked, Vox Media’s shopping/fashion site; and at Vox.com, engagement editor and director of audience and engagement.
She also worked as a social media editor, manager/social media, and community at NBCUniversal. She freelanced for NBCNews.com, MSNBC.com, Elle, Racked, Jezebel, Poynter Online and NPR.org.
Chittal has a B.A. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
