KION-TV Ch. 46, a CBS, Fox and Telemundo affiliate in Monterey, Calif., has hired Austin Castro as a reporter. His tweet reads:
“After nearly two years, I’ve made the difficult decision to move on to my next chapter. From covering earthquakes, to fires, to fun events, it has truly been an honor to tell the stories of the North Coast.”
Recently, Castro was an anchor and reporter at Sinclair Broadcast Group. Previously, he was a host and segment producer at ABS-CBN Corporation. He was also a production assistant at KPIX-TV Ch. 5, CBS outlet in San Francisco,
Castro has degrees from Modesto Junior College in California and San Francisco State University.
