Newsweek has hired Shaun Waterman as a cybersecurity correspondent on its enterprise reporting team.
Recently, he was working freelance.
He served as founding editor, CyberScoop at Scoop News Group. Before that, he was a cybersecurity editor at Politico. He was a staff reporter of foreign affairs, defense and cybersecurity at The Washington Times.
He formerly served as homeland and national security editor at United Press International in Washington and was a senior producer for BBC Radio News.
Waterman has a M.A. from the University of Cambridge.
