Worcester Business JournalThe Worcester Business Journal is looking for an intelligent, organized and versatile journalist to lead our digital operations, as we seek to push the boundaries for the best way to deliver news across multiple platforms.

The WBJ Digital Editor is the overseer and primary writer for all the company’s digital editorial products: WBJournal.com, e-newsletters and social media accounts. The Digital Editor is primarily responsible for implementing the Editor’s digital vision for all these products, as well as working with the Editor to modify that vision to stay current with the evolving digital world and the needs and habits of the WBJ target audience.

The Digital Editor contributes to the WBJ print publication as well, both with originally reported stories out of a regular beat and modifying digital content for the print publication.

Applicants should have at least 2-5 years of professional journalism experience and have familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Knowledge of the Central Massachusetts market is strongly preferred, although not a requirement for the position. An interest in business-to-business writing is required.

This is a full-time, salaried position with competitive compensation and health, dental and retirement benefits. We do not offer relocation expenses for out-of-state applicants.

If you are interested, send a resume, cover letter and examples of your work to WBJ Editor Brad Kane at bkane@wbjournal.com.
