The Washington Post is looking for an energetic, versatile general assignment writer to cover the most interesting and important stories in business news.
We are looking for someone who writes quickly and cleanly, has broad interests, and enjoys finding unique angles to news developments. This reporter should be prepared to do all sorts of journalism — including short-turnaround news stories, analytical pieces, spot features that capture an interesting trend, and front-page pieces that bring depth and context to the day’s news.
While extensive business reporting experience is not a prerequisite, a wide-ranging sense of curiosity is, along with an eagerness to write about a variety of subjects.
Interested candidates should contact David Cho (david.cho@washpost.com), Zachary Goldfarb (zachary.goldfarb@washpost.com) or Tracy Grant (tracy.grant@washpost.com) by Nov. 17.
