VentureBeat is seeking a leader to curate content for our expanding events focused on enterprise AI, data technologies and strategies for technical decision makers.
This Head of Events Content will oversee speaker recruitment and content planning for VentureBeat’s portfolio of events. This includes our flagship event Transform, but also the growing number of Summit events around specific data technology topics (including Future of Work, Lows-Code No-Code, Data, and more).

The Head of Events Content will work with the rest of the company to fulfill its objective: to be the leading townsquare for executives to gain knowledge about transformative technology and transact, including through events, and other networking features.
Transform has become the leading event for business executives seeking to understand and implement AI applications, along with the data infrastructure required to do so.
In this role, you will help determine the overarching themes for each of VentureBeat’s events and liaise with internal VB stakeholders in sales, marketing, and editorial. You will also be responsible for proactively reaching out to top-tier executives and speakers, reviewing speaker submissions, ranking potential speakers, and securing selected speakers for each of VentureBeat’s events.
Requirements:
- 10 years of industry experience, preferably with experience in the tech space
- Strong familiarity with trends around data, AI, and cloud
- Experience securing C-level speakers for technology events
- A personality that approaches almost that of a sales or business development person, in that you are a “closer”
- Extensive personal network of executives and representatives at top companies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to influence and articulate value in partnerships
- Passion for AI and transformative technologies
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strategy expertise a plus
