Upstate Business Journal seeks senior business reporter

The Upstate Business Journal in South Carolina seeks a senior business reporter.

The responsibilities as a Senior Multimedia Business Journalist will include reporting, writing, shooting and editing stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, and more as assigned.

You will be joining a fast-paced team located in Greenville, SC. You will be expected to produce engaging, addictive, and conversational content on a variety of platforms including print, web, social media, and mobile.

You will be expected to move on stories and get them published. You will be required to pitch stories daily. You will report to the Editor in Chief.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
