Reorg seeks a middle markets reporter

Reorg are looking for a Reporter to break news in the middle markets, who has a strong interest in investigative journalism.
The person will work closely with a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts and lawyers to shape content, and will report on distressed corporate borrowers. There will be a particular focus on the middle markets with this role, as we expand our coverage into this space.

Responsibilities

    • Break news on middle markets and in particular distressed debt borrowers across America
    • Work closely with a team of journalists, financial analysts and legal analysts
    • Develop and maintain contacts in the credit market as well as with insolvency practitioners and advisors
    • Attend conferences and events where necessary
    • Write trend pieces

Requirements

    • An interest in writing about credit and/or insolvency markets
    • Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong writing skills and attention to detail

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
