The Tennessean has hired Hadley Hitson as a business reporter covering health care and dining.
Hitson was previously at the Montgomery Advertiser where she was named 2024 emerging journalist for Alabama by the Alabama Press Association.
She has been covering Alabama’s Black Belt communities — their access to health care, education, technology and other stories.
Hitson also worked as a freelance education reporter for Fortune magazine while the media outlet launched its first annual list of the Best Online MBA Programs.
She is a University of Mississippi graduate.
