NYT’s Dealbook seeks a reporter in Washington

The New York Times is seeking a reporter for the DealBook team, our flagship business and policy newsletter with a growing audience of influential decision makers around the world.

Candidates should be experienced reporters with deep sourcing and knowledge of the inner workings of Washington, familiar with both the people and institutions that drive financial policy and regulation in particular. They should be able to produce smart analysis, scoops, insider anecdotes and witty writing tailored for business leaders reading the daily morning newsletter. Experience writing for newsletters and other short formats is a plus.

Candidates should be incisive and creative writers on finance, business and policy, with the ability to convey voice and personality in a conversational medium, while still applying the Times’s rigorous editorial guidelines.
