Fusion is looking for financial writers who have good ideas for its Money section. We tend to write for a young, diverse audience that cares about progressive issues. (In other words, the dreaded snake people ???.)
Some hot topics for us are student loans, cost of living, housing affordability, inequality, gender pay gap, and financial life hacks. (How to do or buy X in the most cost effective way, or tools that simplify complex financial issues.) Above all I’m looking for unique stories that are well reported and that appeal to people who are still in early innings of their financial lives.

I’m open to pitches on any topic dealing with money though, and also open to a variety of presentations — text, video, photos, whatever tells the story best.
