TechCrunch is looking for a Senior Writer/Reporter who can work with a team of expert editors and writers to cover enterprise companies and technology, both dominant and emergent.
We’re looking for reporters who generate original scoops and find stories in a wide range of enterprise tech fields including but not limited to SaaS, cloud computing, developer tools and platforms, back-end infrastructure, datacenter hardware and operations, business software, and more. Although TechCrunch is best known for covering early-stage and private companies, we have a broad remit to cover innovation throughout the technology industry.
Top candidates will have the ability to handle multiple stories concurrently and the desire to publish news quickly and accurately in a fast-paced media environment.
About You:
- Have at least 5 years of experience in tech journalism, ideally with an enterprise/B2B tech focus
- Can write spot news
- Can develop and write features
- Can develop and write analysis pieces
- Have a proven track record of publishing stories that garner attention and make an impact
- Are adept at working with editors to produce well-reported and polished news pieces and features
- Have the ability to write directly and in human-friendly language without sacrificing accuracy
- Know how to work with fellow writers and editors to develop stories on trends that haven’t even begun to materialize yet
