MLex is seeking a reporter in Washington DC to cover antitrust regulation, legislation and enforcement with a significant focus on the US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission.
The ideal candidate will have some experience covering Congress, the federal court system and state or federal agencies; and will have enthusiasm for partnering with other reporters. MLex is a highly collaborative environment, and the reporter will frequently work with reporters focused on similar topics in Brussels, São Paulo, Silicon Valley, Hong Kong and elsewhere.
The job offers opportunities to break news on topics such as merger reviews, anticompetitive conduct, bid-rigging, collective action, labor market monopsony, criminal investigations, standard-essential patents, pay-for-delay, price-fixing, tying and Sherman Act violations.
The successful candidate will have the ability to write in-depth stories about the implications of legislative, regulatory and judicial matters.
