Endpoints News is seeking an experienced editor to join our award-winning newsroom to help lead our coverage of the pharma industry.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting the daily agenda for our coverage of the pharma industry and working with our expert reporters to plan ambitious longer-term reporting targets and scoops. You’ll also have a voice in how our newsroom and our publication are growing, how we build new news products, and how we reach new audiences and expand our ambitions.
To apply, you should have 8+ years of experience as a journalist, including several years as a manager of people and stories. You should also bring a deep knowledge of the biopharma industry, a strong vision for how to cover it and the track record to prove it.
The right candidate has:
Deep knowledge and lively curiosity about the business and science of biopharma
Extensive editing experience, both cleaning up copy on the fly and working closely with journalists throughout the story process as they develop ideas into reporting and then into writing
A chip-on-the-shoulder competitive streak on the most important stories, with the desire to beat our peers as well as larger “legacy” publications
Vision for the potential of specialty journalism in the broader media landscape
A collaborative newsroom mentality and a strong sense of ownership of the role and coverage
This role reports to our Executive Editor Drew Armstrong and will have multiple direct reports. It will work closely with our other deputy editors, and also with reporters and senior editors in other groups.
