The Dallas Morning News is searching for an intrepid and curious breaking news business reporter to cover America’s most interesting economic region.

Come join our team of award-winning journalists who report on the multi-trillion economy in North Texas, helping to cover major companies such as AT&T, McKesson, Caterpillar, GameStop and hundreds more.

In the last year, the reporter on this beat broke news about a new stock exchange slated for Dallas (You may have heard of “Y’all Street”), interviewed Dr. Phil about the splashy launch of his new Fort Worth TV studio (followed later by chronicling the layoffs), wrote about crypto scam victims and major data breaches at local companies and dove into the potential for legalized gambling in Texas led by casino magnate Miriam Adelson and family, new owners of the Dallas Mavericks NBA franchise.

It’s a major-league town with no shortage of movement from some of the most powerful business players in the country including the family of Ray Hunt (owner of the Kansas City Chiefs), Ross Perot Jr., Mark Cuban, Jerry Jones and Alice Walton, along with notable celebrity residents such as Patrick Mahomes and Shaquille O’Neal.
