Bloomberg News is seeking an editor for Daybreak, its new morning news service. The role will be based in London, and will be focused on setting the agenda for our U.S. audience. The job will entail writing and curating business and general news, as well as conceptualizing charts and graphics.
Knowledge of what’s important to the American reader is essential, as is being able to write and edit clearly while working in a no-drama team environment. The ideal candidate will be a news junkie with proven experience, an understanding of financial markets, and ability to handle breaking news under deadline pressure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience
- Proven experience in journalism
- Understanding and knowledge of U.S. news, as well as global markets and finance
- Ability to edit quickly and concisely under deadline pressure
- Experience working in a real-time news environment
