Bloomberg News is looking for a reporter to cover the US equity derivatives market in depth and provide clients with real-time news and analysis. We are looking for a curious and hungry self-starter who will dig out exclusive information on options trading and positioning in single stocks as well as major indexes and produce insightful stories that provide readers with broader context. The role involves writing fast, concise reports on markets and individual stocks as well as bigger pieces that unearth insights from traders, portfolio managers and analysts to deliver the news and information clients crave.

On the equities team, you will be charged with connecting the dots to provide readers with all they need from the world’s leading provider of financial news.
- Build a deep base of sources across the derivatives landscape
- Collaborate closely with colleagues on the Equities team globally
- Break news and write sharp stories analyzing options market trends on deadline
- Produce and promote content across all our platforms — from the terminal to video and magazines
- Track the biggest players in the market to break news on trading strategies, people moves and hiring/expansion plans
- At least 3-5 years of experience in financial news and business reporting, or equivalent direct market experience and a strong interest for reporting
- Proven knowledge that includes a strong understanding of the equity derivatives market
- Existing equity derivatives contacts
- Solid news judgment and ability to report with speed and accuracy
- An innovative spirit and a desire to always be learning
Salary Range = 90000 – 120000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
