Beverly Hills Weekly is seeking a reporter who can cover it all from education to city council and beyond. Beverly Hills Weekly is a community paper founded in 1999 with a circulation of 15,000, which includes a readership of some of the most influential people in Southern California. We do not cover entertainment news. Strong interest in local politics/government is preferred. This is an IN-office position; there is no “work from home”. If you’re not comfortable attending public meetings or working in an office setting, do not apply for the job.
Perfect position for a recent college graduate. This is not the position for a journalist with more than five years paid experience. Applicants must not be enrolled in school nor graduate school test course whatsoever.
Applicant must:
College newspaper writing experience OK. Business casual dress code, company policy prohibits any visible tattoos.
We are looking for an ambitious, confident reporter who is willing to dig deep for stories and isn’t afraid to ask hard questions. Someone willing to immerse themselves in the community and cover the issues important to residents.
