Chalkbeat has tapped Laura Testino to serve as an education reporter. Recently, she was an education and children’s issues reporter at the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, Tenn.
Previously, Testino was a life and culture reporting fellow at NOLA.com.
She also freelanced for New York Times, Teen Vogue, Atlanta magazine, Catapult, Martha Stewart Weddings, This Old House, Tuscaloosa magazine and Tuscaloosa News.
Testino graduated from the University of Alabama.
