Mark DeCambre, editor in chief of Marketwatch.com, talks about its “Need to Know” newsletter, which he authors as part of an explanation behind the broader Dow Jones newsletter strategy.
“When you think about all the floor of news and financial information that is flowing through recently, the midterm elections or markets gyrating or concerns about AI, we’re going to be really respectful of our readers time,” said DeCambre. “And we’re going to tell them what they need to know, so they can take action.”
He called that the “real key benefit” to the newsletter.
“It’s going to be hand-selected, handpicked, curated by the editor in chief of MarketWatch,” he said. “Walking you through what we think are the most important stories.”
DeCambre said his ideal reader is the “money curious reader” who wants to gain greater insight about what is happening and translate that into what it means for their wallet.
