The Richmond Times-Dispatch newspaper plans to begin charging for job promotions and board appoints that usually appear in its business section.
A story on its website states, “Starting Nov. 5, the Decision Maker, which highlighted the promotion or hiring of top-ranking employees, will become a paid feature in the Metro Business section.
“The listings of board members for local groups and associations also will shift to a paid feature.
“A free listing for both features is no longer offered.
“Making these changes will give companies and organizations more options and greater control over what information and photos are included in the announcements.
“The costs are based on the size of the announcement.”
