VentureBeat reporter Anna Hensel has been hired by Digiday to cover ecommerce and retail.
Her last day at VentureBeat is Wednesday. She starts at Digiday next week.
On Twitter, Hensel wrote, “I’m really excited to be covering something totally new, esp. an industry that employs so many people and is going through a lot of changes right now.”
She had been writing for VentureBeat’s Heartland Tech Channel, which explores the technological and economic divide between Silicon Valley and the rest of America.
Before VentureBeat, Hensel worked at Inc., where she served as an assistant editor covering startups, managing and editing a stable of about 30 contributors and reporting stories about emerging tech ecosystems across the U.S.
Prior to Inc., Hennsel wrote for Silicon Prairie News, worked at Omaha World-Herald, and assisted on a major investigative reporting project for ESPN.
She is a graduate of Creighton University.
