Levy to cover Tesla, Musk beat for Reuters

Reuters correspondent Rachael Levy is taking on a new beat covering Tesla and its leader Elon Musk.

Last year, she was a member of a Reuters team that won the Pulitzer for exploring the business operations of Musk.

She joined Reuters in 2022 as a corporate governance correspondent, reporting on boards and the inner workings of companies.

Levy previously worked at Politico, where she reported on healthcare policy. Her coverage focused on the challenges facing U.S. hospitals in their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to update its guidance on the wearing of N95 masks and the hospital regulator to seek out safety complaints from patients.

Prior to joining Politico, Levy worked at The Wall Street Journal, where she covered the domestic terrorism beat. There she produced several impactful stories, including on the intelligence failures behind the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and the questioning of the San Jose shooter by law enforcement prior to him killing nine people.
