Nora Naughton, a business development reporter at The Stamford (Conn.) Advocate, has been hired as an auto reporter for The Detroit News.
She will start in late October.
Naughton’s father is Bloomberg News auto reporter Keith Naughton, who got his start covering the auto beat for the News in 1988.
Naughton also covered City Hall for the Stamford paper, which she joined in May 2016.
Before that, Naughton worked as a freelance reporter for Automotive News, where she interned for two summers as well.
She’s a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where she was editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Eastern Echo.
Some news about me: Tuesday is my last day at @StamAdvocate. I’ve accepted a job covering autos at @detroitnews starting in late October.
