Business Insider hires Bloomberg’s Tracer, Leibowitz of Fox Business, and others
Business Insider global editor in chief Nicholas Carlson sent out the following announcement on Tuesday:
As you know, a few weeks ago now we announced major investment plans for Business Insider and INSIDER.
I’m happy to report we’re well underway, and have added some big stars in the past few weeks.
Zach Tracer is leaving Bloomberg to join Business Insider as our new healthcare editor. He’ll run a team focused on BI Prime.
Carl Leibowitz is our new director of booking. He comes from Fox Business Network, and will be working on Business Insider Today, our conferences, and podcasts.
Speaking of Business Insider Today – the #1 news show on Facebook Watch – we also hired Lionel Moise, a new co-host. Previously, Lionel was an anchor in CBS 2 in Chicago.
Courtney Streett is also joining the BIT team, as a senior producer on BI Today. She comes from CBS, too.
Meghan Morris is our new Asset Management reporter. She joins from Private Equity Real Estate magazine.
Trista Kelley is our new finance editor based London. She was also previously at Bloomberg.
Katie Canales, a former intern, is now a full-time visual features reporter based in San Francisco.
Finally, at INSIDER, Suma Hussien joined us as an associate producer for design.
