The Wall Street Journal launched Tuesday a new daily newsletter and strengthened its coverage of Washington politics, policy and national security.
“Capital Journal Daybreak Edition” will provide analysis of and perspective on key news and themes critical to Washington that day.
Another new feature is Think Tank, a section on WSJ.com that draws news analysis from outside contributors from across the political spectrum. In addition, Washington Wire, the Journal’s political blog, has a new lead writer, Reid Epstein. The blog will showcase a distinct voice as well as reporting from across the Capital Journal staff.
All of WSJ’s political coverage online is now branded Capital Journal and can be found by visiting www.wsj.com/capitaljournal.
“We’re transforming our Washington bureau into a digital hub for politics and policy coverage,” said Gerard Baker, managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, in a statement. “These changes are just a beginning.”
